I'm just off home now, but wandered past your page to say hi!
I haven't spoken to you for ages, so thought I'd bring a over to you....
Hi Jimi..
Jimi X Posted Mar 24, 2003
Now that is really weird...
...because I was just thinking the same thing since I had a dream about you last night.
In my dream I took a bus to London (how it crossed the Atlantic didn't figure into the dream) and I arrived at Bush House and you were there to greet me - only you were 9 feet tall.
I remember this vividly, looking up at you like Frodo did to Galandriel in the Fellowship of the Rings when she is tempted by the ring and saying to you 'Wow, you didn't seem nearly this tall in the photos on site.'
Then you laughed and hopped down off of Mark's shoulders and you were back to normal height.
Weird eh?
So what's new with you? Enjoying the spring-time and doing lots of frolicking?
I was thinking of offering to help you move house, but I didn't think that would have gone over so well with the lovely Mrs. X (especially after dreaming about you)!
Have a great night.

It *must* have been a good night...
btw: Check out my 'quotation' section on my Personal Space. What a classic quote!

I love the quote - even I didn't think I'd stay around this long and that it would have *such* a fundamental effect on my life!
Moving went really well, but its a totally exhausting thing to do isn't it? I'm glad you even thought, or dreamt about coming along to help out though! I'm sure Mrs X wouldn't have minded too much, not since we've chatted on the phone!
It's all been a bit weird trying to settle into a new place though, I haven't been sleeping very well at all. I think I've found a solution though, last night I cooked lots of yummy food and put it in the freezer, and bought 5 bunches of daffodils and put them round the flat - now it looks much more cosy and feels more like home, so for the first time last night I slept really well.
I feel like a student though, we moved out of a share flat that came with its own pots, pans, plates and so on, but the new place has absolutely *nothing*. So the first evening we sat eating a meal out of a Wok a friend gave me with plastic spoons. *sigh*... It made me feel like I was about 18 again!

I know what you mean about moving house being exhausting though...
Did you provide your workers lots of ?
We moved six times before finally settling down and buying a house. And during that final time, perhaps a few too many celabratory pints were consumed as I'm reminded every week when I do the laundry and see the big dent in the top of the washing machine.
Still, a good time was had by all. And our heads hurt as much as our muscles.
Hi Jimi..

It actually wasn't too bad for us. Because we'd been in one room in a shareflat everything we had fitted into the back of my car. It only took one trip!
Hi Jimi..

It's always weird to see all of your stuff before you in boxes and think this is it? (or in my case since we've had the two little one - how did we accumulate so much junk?)
Hi Jimi..

Getting settled I see...
I've got friends from college who still haven't gotten my new address. (and it's only partly out of fear that they'll stop over and drink all my beer and eat all my food! )
Hi Jimi..

Yes,
I seem to be handing out a lot of dinner invitations at the mo....
Come to that, if you're ever in the area Jimi...
Hi Jimi..

Steak and Kidney Pie and Apple crumble and custard!
It has to be something typically British.
Or we could have roast beef and yorkshire pudding? Mmmm...
My aunt used to make a really nice bacon and onion pudding - of the savoury type, a bit like a jam roly poly only with meat...
Hi Jimi..

You'd have to have a pint of ale too!
Mark was drinking something called Banana Bread Ale the other day - very weird stuff, it tasted subtly of bananas...

Last summer the lovely Mrs. X and I enjoyed a strawberry-kiwi wheat ale.
Very, very nice.
A local brewpub where we were married came up with that particular .
And yes, I was married at a brewery.
