Once I get a bit more done, I reckon I'll submit it...
Still got a bit more writing to do. Plus, since I'm doing much of this from memory, going back and fact-checking it all is a bit tough.

It's a hard life, eh?
if you hang on long enough, it's go straight into the new system. Which'll make my life much easier.

Make your life easier?
Do you guys have a rough time-frame? I can wait if you'd like...
Seriously I can...
It's not like I'm terribly keen to get stuff on the front page anymore - whenever it happens, it happens you know?

You're not impressed with reaching the Front Page anymore?
A rough time frame - probably after christmas, hopefully January, but don't count on that not changing...

Dry your eyes darlin'...
It's just not the huge deal that it used to be. I've become much more mellow like a fine or
I wouldn't have finished these things before then anyway so I'll just hang onto it until the Uni update is complete. In the meantime, I guess I *could* finish my Hershey Golf project eh?

Such optimism from three-plus months ago.
I've decided to stop kidding myself and submit the entries that are complete into Peer Review.
Please remove my Uni project 'Golf in Hershey, Pennsylvania'.
With the harsh winter and my workload doubling here in the office with my graphic artist leaving on maternity leave, I won't have enough time for golf to finish the last entry.
Sorry for the hold-up. I'll give these entries a final read and ship them off to PR.

The Guide Team will be pleased, more for the Front Page.
I've taken you off now, and I'll look out for your entries hitting the Front Page soon.
How is everything else with you? Are you having a, erm, what's the opposite of an Indian summer? We're having really nice spring heatwave at the moment. It's lovely!
And how are your girls? Isn't one due a birthday soon? (guesses wildly )

My eldest (8) is venturing into the frightening world of American team sports. She's playing softball this spring and so far it's gone fairly well. She's a fairly good batter and we practiced throwing for about an hour yesterday afternoon. Next up is catching...
My youngest (3) will be four in June so good guessing! She's really in the midst of a growth spurt right now and is no longer able to walk through my legs without ducking her head. So obviously it's time to stop that bad habit.
This weekend was the first it's been really nice - sunny with temperatures in the 60s. Our daffodils are even starting to break through the ground. So most of the weekend we were raking, pruning and generally preparing the yard and garden for summer.
After this past winter (21 snow storms), I'm more than ready for summer!
What's new in your neck of the woods? Getting ready for spring planting? Playing outdoors? Looking for tadpoles?

Are you further north than we are? Your weather sounds dreadful, we've had a really lovely couple of weeks here, all our dafs are already flowering.
We're in spring already really. J thought the frog spawn had hatched because the little black dots have grown longer, but they haven't started wriggling about yet. We've been clearing the garden, replanting containers, trying to tidy up a little. It's been really relaxing being outside, although exhausting!
J is visiting his specialist tomorrow, but it's only a routine 6 monthly checkup. Because he's on Ritalin they like to moniter him.

We're at 40 North, but we're not protected by the Gulf Stream. In fact, during the winter the jet streams often converge over us - causing cold Canadian air to collide with warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico which results in big snowfalls.
It doesn't happen often, but when the conditions are just right, we can get up to 2 feet of snow in a 24-hour period.
It took a long time for that last big snowfall to melt away enough for the ground to get any solar heating... But I reckon that everything will start blooming really soon.

I've hard that this miraculous gulf stream is what keeps us so warm.
I can't help feeling a bit jealous, I do like snow, and although we had some this year, there's nothing like a really good snowfall for and some time off work. And the kids love it too.
But it's also nice that our spring comes in March - can't have everything I suppose.

You're starting to inspire me to write an entry about the climate of southcentral Pennsylvania...
...We've got some unique weather, tucked in against the mountains but close enough to the ocean to get hurricanes.

Nah. We don't get the winds so much as the rain...
Back in 1972, we had a terrible flood from the remenants of Hurricane Agnes. It was the worst recorded flood ever - something like 18 inches of rain in two days...
I recall as a kid thinking this was a storm of Biblical proportions (after just learning the story of Noah in Sunday School).
