Are you much of a gardener? I know you subbed John's Fundamentals of Horticulture project, but I wasn't sure if you like to get down and dirty yourself.

I'm taking a 'too well to be at work' day today, so I'll see what I can do.

Too well to be at work? How does that work? I should try it.

As the sun was rising, I realised that Monday was going to be one of those glorious spring Pennsylvania days (about a month earlier than we have any right to expect one).

So I took a day off to till the garden before the spring rains start and play with the two-year old out on her swing-set.

I was much too well to be in work (sort of an anti-sick day)!

Just don't tell my boss...

We haven't had any nice days like that here yet. Hail, rain, wind or frost so far.

But if I have an anti-sick day, you won't tell my boss either I hope.

I thought in the old TDV days, Peta told me that they had anti-sick days where you could take off because you felt like it.

You'll have to ask her what the BBC policy on that is.

When she comes back in I'll ask her. Thanks for the tip-off.
