Posted Nov 17, 2003
Since my last journal entry a few things have happened. The recorder group I was to attend on friday was cancelled due to transport problems.Managed to meet up with a few friends on saturday night for an impromtue folk music session. There were guitar, mandolin, mouthorgan, drums, flute and myself on recorder. It was a very good tune with people contributing as and when they felt like it threwout the night. Last night I went to another quiz night an miraculously this time our team was in the money. Got 3rd place. Started writing my page for the guide today, it is to be about recorder music on the internet. 17/11/03

Hi, Since this is my first journal entry I thought I would say a little about myself. I work as a chef,My main hobbies are music, books and quizes. I play a few instruments mainly recorder but also guitar, piano(badly) and am also having flute lessons. At the moment I am reading Kate Elliot's book "The Gathering Storm".On wedensday I went to L's house(She is a friend who plays piano). Had a really good evening played all the Handel recorder sonatas and also some english dance music by Purcell, Boyce etc.Yesterday (Thursday) had a flute lesson with G.Played some Vivaldi and Hyden.Got a few new pieces to work on for next week(J J Quantz very difficult). In the evening I went to a local quiz night, as usual our team although not being a total disgrace did not win. Planning to go to a meeting of our local recorder group tonight and will mention it in my next journal entry. 14/11/03
