Sadly no. I'm based on Continental Europe and in direct line to get all the rubbish weather the UK are having if the wind is blowing a certain way... although it is unseasonally mild just now. So, grey skies and the threat of rain here.

The digibox wars
Two Pence.

From what I have seen ( not all, I bet ) three main point have been rinsed here.

1. A lot considers its illegal to use digibox’s to get on to H2G2.
2. digibox’s user are getting it free from an email link.
3. Dig box users are troublesome.

Part of the answer my be.

Have TW add a small charge of say 25p a month to the rental of digibox’s if the user want H2G2 accesses.

1 & 2 Making it a legal and paid for part of the digibox’s service.
3. Well all users can be troublesome sometimes; don’t think that will ever change.

TW don’t have to go to the trouble of closing the loop hole, TW get a little more revenue for the service. BBC doesn’t get stuck in the middle of the problem.

Both TW & BBC get god press from it.the users get H2G2. smiley - smiley

To clarify the last post, note that 'DarkMaster' (U166788), whose PS is empty and has never wriiten anything, is not 'Dark Master' (U565352). The latter, somewhat curiously, has found it necessary to link to all my recent conversations from his own PS (A2252990).

Sorry, I did not think it was that, but I just read the GML. The thing that made me think the link was explicit was that you also link your own conversations separately, which is not necessary with the tag.

That's the trouble when one user has misbehaved, one (or at least I) may begin to suspect every new acquaintance until the truth emerges.

Sorry again.

It's OK, allways happy to explain stuff to people. The link to my conversations is so that anyone else can view them if they so wish, not that anyone would of course but thats not the point.
