Hello RFJS. I came to your PS to find out where you might be coming from on the "Objection" thread (Achilles & friend). I am also a philosophy head as you can see from my own PS.
Noting your appetite for Fowler I wonder are you aware of the British English thread F19585?thread=100569&latest=1 and the Langauge and Linguistics thread F19585?thread=508032&latest=1 ?
There is also a sleepy Philosophers' Hollow called 'Click Here to Join' F99908?thread=212558&latest=1

Thanks for dropping by. I had noticed those threads, but I tend not to join in conversations with really long histories. Especially at the moment, because I have my final two exams of the year in a few days' time.
I had a look at the Philosophers' Guild a while back, but right now I get plenty of philosophical debate in real life, so joining the occasional thread (e.g. Zeno) on Hootoo is enough for the present, I reckon.

Wow. Good luck in the exams. Nice place Durham; I went to a summer music course there a few years back.
