h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Cruising around, I noticed your last couple of entries to make it into the 'Guide, and thought I'd come and visit. How're things?

On some other issues, I've a couple of stylistic bones to pick with you. Feel free to ignore this (I am a bit narky, I'll happily accept...), and you know in general I'm a fan of your work(), but for a couple of things, I have to take issue:-

1. The graphics on your home page are a real pain: they take forever to load, and your links to other pages which open new windows only serve to slow the system down.

2. Congratulations on your recent triumphant entry into the serried ranks of published authors, but for heaven's sake give us some INFORMATION! The Hendrix article, for example, was barely a sketch of his life, and certainly didn't give any idea of his inspirations or of his career trajectory. I know a bit about Adelaide (some of my family actually live there!) and I know there's a lot more to it than what you have written in your entry (how much, for example, does a bus ride in Adelaide cost? You mention the free City Circle bis, but not the rest of the service. What are the good cafes in which to eat and/or drink coffee? Where are the good wineries and how far away are they? What about Rundle Street etc.?). The 'Guide is meant to be a universal information resource, not a universal subject descriptor!

Sorry to be so harsh, but it's been a long night, it's early in the morning and it really annoys me when such potentially good articles go to waste...
