Hullo!
Odd, but after 7 weeks of neglect the h2g2 SETI group page was found by both of us within 3 hours. I have only been working on SETI for a few weeks, but I knew immediately that I wanted to be part of the h2g2 Researchers group.
There are six of us now! Hope Simon is still around to see that it is working...

Hello guys (or girls?)
Yes! SETI@Home is very cool and I imagine If we all spread the word we can get even more people to join the group!

That must be possible. I'm going to add a small section to my introduction-page, stating that I'm involved in the SETI@home project, and that other participants are welcome to join the SETI@home h2g2 group

I shall do the same! I wonder how many people we can get to join?
I wish I had a faster computer, I have only completed 8 work units and I have been involved for a while!

I can see how slow your system is: a little over 69 hours on average per work-unit isn't very fast indeed. At first my packets were processed in over 56 hours, but currently the SAME machine is working through packets in roughly 20 hours each! Don't ask me how this is possible, I haven't got the foggiest...
Anyway, if you wish, you may look at the page that I made: http://www.h2g2.com/A193231. I think it looks much better, and is more helpful than Simon's job (although he made quite a good start. Who am I to criticise his effort). You wouldn't have to start all over, but could simply link to my SETI@home article.
Together, we must be able to find a lot of participants

Very nice....
You may like to link the Seti@Home page to an entry I have just written on the Drake Equation.

I have already linked it to you!

Nice job is that too, Daniel.. I'll adjust my Article accordingly.
May I suggest that you remove the piece linking to Simon's page from your Opening page, and replace it with a link to my article, just like you did in the Drake Equasion?

Yes, We're teaming up nicely.
Ok, then check out what I've done now, BOTH on my intro-page AND my SETI page

One thing, I cannot access your page at http://fessie.cjb.net/
So I don't really know anything about you!

Hmm, not access my regular page? THAT's weird... I just tried the link that you wrote down, and got there immediately. Maybe you should try again. And if that doesn't help, and you're using ICQ, then enter your number in my ICQ-panel, and I'll send you another link, that might help.

It's starting to get chilly indeed... It's not downright winter yet, but I'm beginning to notice "King Frost"s entrance. Wind is howling around the building. Trees are shaking the little leaves they have left, and losing them rapidly. The world is going to sleep here... (apart from the time of day, cos it's 05:30 in the morning now...)

Could become confusing...... It already is!
I suggest we stay in the other forum for now and save this one for other seti researchers who would like to say hello!
