The questioner says he is majoring in history and learning to become a reasearcher. I saw his original twelve questions regarding twelve different locations, mainly English county houses, or 'country seats' as we call them. All his questions ask for people (either evacuated children or service personnel) who were located at those houses during the war. It follows from this that he already knows that they were either used for evacuees or as service stations during WW2, as so many of them were.
A typical question of the 12 posted is this:
"I am trying to find anyone who was a student at Queen Margaret's School when it was evacuated to Castle Howard in Yorkshire. If you were evacuated to Castle Howard, I would very much like to hear from you."
'Mutatis mutandis' all the remaining 11 questions are the same. All these questions could have been condensed into one, such as: "I would like to hear from anyone who was either evacuated or served in an English County House during WW2". Be that as it may, not being in either category, I cannot help.

Aplogies, I had not realised that this lad's questions had multiplied!
The particular questions I was looking for your assistance on those related to US troops. I have so far failed to find any reference to these places being used by troops. I wondered if you had anything in your library.

Again he seems to already know who was stationed where. This is what he asks:
"During the last two years of the war Knightshayes Court, Devon was requisitioned for the United States Airforce. I am trying to find anyone who was stationed or worked at Knightshayes Court in Devon."
