I've just read your VE story again, plus your latest postings. What marvellous and vivid accounts of the war.

You have posted some brilliant first-hand accounts, and of course you have helped so many other people with information. Your postings are at least as good as some of the limited number of books I've found about the war in Italy.

If you are taking part in the VE/VJ commemorations this weekend, enjoy the experience (despite the events of 7 July). You have much to be proud of!

You are too kind... It's my pleasure to meet meet good people like yourself and load my memories on to all and sundry.
I HAVE managed to get tickets on Sunday the 10th at Horse Guards Parade and will be sitting (with my better half) to the left of Her Majesty.
Watch me and 11,000 other vets on BBC1 at 2.00 pm.

Well I tried to work out if I could see you on the TV from the photos there are of you on the website. No luck, I'm afraid!

I'm sure both you and your good lady must have had a memorable time! It was a unique occasion we will never see the like again.

I've eventually finished the story I've been putting together about Lili Marlene and the 'D-Day Dodgers'. I've now posted it to the site. Everyone seems to have a slightly different version of 'D-Day Dodgers'!
