Hi Ron
I was interested in your item about being based at Whitby and learning to drive and the wireless role and I wondered if my father, had been one of your driving instructors.
I don't know what time period it was when he was based in Whitby but he was in the Royal Corp of Signals and taught men to drive vehicles.

Hi Anne
Thank you for your item about your Dad and his being stationed at Whitby.
If you were referring to my 'Training to be a Diver/Op' (A2065853)then I think you can work out if your Dad was one of our instructors.
Even if he wasn't you can be rightfully proud of his role in the Army, the driving skills we learnt there still stand us in good stead and I still have a clean licence after 63 years !
Best wishes
Ron
