Hi Sam,
I've just found your message, thanks for your welcome! I'm going to have to work on my page and learn how to do the smilies. Still, it's early days and I don't know if there's live chat on here or not. Anyway, will see you around, I hope.
My best as ever, Paul.

Good to see you on Paul and glad you like it so far... Everybody goes bad to their own space from time to time so we should pick up messages sooner or later... you wont need to wave i'm never very far away.. excet at night when I do tend to nod off on-line..

Thanks Sam. I'm still at a bit of a loss though. Where do you find people on here? I have looked for 'talk' and 'contribute', but not found anyone.
Do I respond to some of the subjects already being discussed?
Cheers,
Paul.
P.S. And I'm still looking for the smilies!

Hi Sam, I'm very tired tonight so thought I would come on line for a bit to see what's up. I'm going round in circles a bit as I was hoping to find some 'direct' interactivity, so have got a bit bored. I'm going to plod on for a little while longer and then I'm just going to swith everything off tonight and chill.
Did you get my message on Yoome2 this morning? It sems odd that yoú're not usually on line there these days. It was often the one thing I could rely on, that whatever time of day or night, Alley Cat would be on line.
Oh well, enough of my blabbering. Hope you are well and that you've had a nice day.
Best wishes Sam,
Paul.

Hi Paul, yes I remember these days well I never switched off chat there was always somebody to talk to but afraid it's lost it's appeal for me now.. on h2g2 I can do the word games and chat a slower pace you could say.. maybe that means i'm getting old.. god forbid.. When I first came on h2g2 I was totally lost so I know how you feel.. but once I got inot the guide ml stuff I was in my element.. looking for pictures to put on my space and then links, it took me weeks to gather all the info but I really enjoyed it.. funny now the actual page doesnt mean that much to me.. i'm enjoying meeting new people without even chatting to them you just see them playing the games and get used to them being there.. hope i've managed to answer in time beore you switch off for the night... I did get your message this morning but still to answer yet.. don't really have all that much time in the morning but I will answer it later..
hope your shoulder is on the mend..

Hiya Sam,
Thanks for your message. Don't worry about replying to all my messages. It's a habit of mine, when I have time, to reply to things when I get them. That is assuming I have time.
I'm just listening to the news and the subject of the Royal homosexual romp has just come up. Have you been following it? I looked for it on internet message boards and found one site conducting an opinion poll on who you think it is. There was one name that stood out a mile. If it had been 'ask the audience' on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, there would have been no question. I suspect this story will surface sooner or later in the press. The Guardian is challenging the court order on publication today. I will e mail you the name if you want but have hesitated putting it on here when this correspondence isn't private.
Must make a move now and get ready for work. My neck and shoulder are much better now thanks. Hope you are okay and have a good day yourself.
Best wishes,
Paul.

Oh that sounds interesting please do send who you think it is.. i'm afraid i'm always the last person to find things out, I never read newspapers, I had a falling out with them many years ago now, due to yet another story about a celebrity divorce.. and i've never gone back I do listen to the news on the tv, when I remember but now of course since i've been upgraded all I can see is that annoying advert for the Front Row movies.. i'm considering cutting out a piece of black paper and sticking it to the corner of the tv...
I'm fine thanks Paul, hope you have a good day...

Hiya Sam,
I've just sent you a message by e mail, talking about the Royal Family.
So what annoyed you so much in the press? What papers do you read?
I get annoyed too with the Front Row barker channel always being on. I used to either put the tv on and watch something at the same time, or the radio and blank the corner. It's irritating and distracting! I've seen the promo for Die Another Day, which I've seen before, and The Pianist so many times I could scream! I was thinking of writing to Telewest and asking them to alter the software so we can choose what we want to watch while on interactive and change it without having to come out each time. Up to now, I've just not got round to it. If we all did that, they just might do it!
Woops! Time is marching on so I'd better get on! Hope you have a good day today and I'll catch up with you again soon.
Best wishes,
Paul.

Hiya Paul, yes i'm feeling the same about the front row ads.. I'm just glad they are not advertising the spider movie this week, i'd have to blank the corner out.. but I do believe that telly is coming back.. some have it already so we just got to be patient I think (as we always have to do with t/w)
I gave up reading newspapers when yet again another celeb made front page news because she got a divorce (big deal) mine never made the front page but I bet it would have made more interesting reading I buy the Express on a Saturday if i'm out but only because of the mag and the crossword.. my workmate comes out with "oh btw the war's over" to me as she just can't understand why I don't but a newspaper.. I must admit I am sometimes behind the times but if it's a decent piece of new it will catch up with me eventually.. chat soon..

Hiya Sam, Thanks for your last message. I'm sorry if I touched a raw nerve, I had no idea. I prefer the broadsheets to the tabloids. I read the Daily Telegraph most days, The Courier two or three times a week and occasionally the Scotsman. On Sunday, I get the Mail on Sunday usually, but if I have the time to read it I buy the Sunday Times. Phew! I've just read that last bit back and wonder how I have time to do anything else. My wife reads the Daily Mail, Courier and Mail on Sunday.
I have explored H2G2 and discovered that a lot of the links will take you all over the BBCi website, including webcams. That makes me think that because the bbc.co.uk website is accessible through Telewest, any website that they use on their intranet is potentially accessible with a link. Makes me think..! I don't know how to write the link that you sent me. I forwarded it to another e mail address and unpicked it to look at. But I don't know how to bundle it up again under the heading 'log me in'. Do you know how to do that?
I'm listening to a programme on the radio about the allegations made about a member of the Royal Family. It's beginning to look like the information I found on the net might not be accurate after all, but as you said, it will all come out in the wash.
Must go now and get on with the day. I've got to go out at 1030 and have to work at 3.
Hope you have a good weekend. Best wishes as always,
Paul.

Hi Sam,
Just a line to say I'm going to be away for a few days (work I'm afraid) and won't be on-line again until Thursday. I've had a look for you just now, but you aren't around. So I'll just say I hope you're okay and I'll look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best wishes,
Paul

Hi Sam,
Long time no hear! I hope you are okay and getting all set for Christmas. I've been fairly busy lately. I was in Amsterdam with some friends at the beginning of the month. We had a really good time. I was able to get all my shopping done and still have time to do some sightseeing. In the evening we went to a typical Dutch restaurant and were faced with one of the rudest waiters I have come across for a long time. So we played him up too and scored a bullseye when we discovered he'd overcharged us!
I have just bought a cordless telephone! I had breakfast earlier and have just been ploughing through the instructions. I have got to section 8 - charge batteries for at least 16 hours before using, so have plugged the thing in. Will have to wait until tonight to continue. It will be good to have the handset when I'm in the bath!
I'm not sure how often I'm going to be on H2G2. I feel I have spread myself a bit thin, so have decided to concentrate on Yoome2 and chat.lycos (http://chat.lycos.co.uk). I'll contact you in future on Yoome2 or by e mail. Do you have a preference?
So, hope you are okay, as I said and I hope to hear from you soon.
Take care, Sam.
Best wishes,
Paul
