Thanks for some marvellous editing. I particularly appreciate the incredibly eccentric insertion of information about Ben Nevis in the former entry. A work of genius. Looking forward to the entries going live in the next few days/weeks.

Eh? Now I'm confused.

Apprentice, I've got your Blind Date article to edit and I want to ask you a question or two...

Very good article, written with perfect tongue-in-cheek humour, but I think it could say a bit more about what's unique about the UK show (Cilla Black, for better or worse). Is it okay if I insert the following paragraph after the three candidates list part?

'Throughout the show the participants are subjected to encouragement and suitably cheesy comments by Cilla, to which they and the audience are expected to laugh and keep up the pretence that the individual candidate has a good chance of meeting a suitable partner through the exercise.'

I haven't watched the show much, so if you don't think it's suitable, or would prefer to write something better, please say so.

And why I'm confused: From your comment above, has Pseudemys edited this too? If so, I wonder why I am doing it? Probably another space/time distortion in the bizarre world of h2g2 editing. Oh well. Could you comment on the paragraph soon, as I'm ready to send the entry to h2g2 towers.

The paragraph is absolutely fine. I didn't want to say too much about Cilla as there is probably the potential for giving her an entry in her own right at some later date.

I've just had a look and Pseudo-whatsit is Editor on both the Blind Date and the Identity Games entry.

Oh yes... hmm. I've asked h2g2 Towers what's going on, I assume that it's already been edited and has been sent to me in error.

I do, however, think that the Blind Date entry might do with the addition you mentioned.

I included a couple of entries in the Old Queue in the Peer Review page seeking some feedback while waiting for someone to have a look at it in the Old Queue. I assume that it's possible that the Old Queue and the Peer Review versions reached Edit at almost the same time without anybody really noticing that they were both the same entry!

Yes, quite possibly. Hopefully the old queue will fizzle out fairly soon and eradicate such problems.
