"The actual cause is actually irrelevant"? Hmm... shouldn't it be "The cause is actually irrelevant", or "the actual cause is irelevant"?
A couple more criticisms:
I kinda liked the sub-headers: they were minor points. If they are given full headers, they detract attection from the surrounding topics and tend to gloss over the over-all fluidness of the entry.
Subway Etiquette:
the "ignoring neighbours" paragraph has a missing period.
it IS walkmen, not walkmans...
Otherwise, the entry looks alright. Does this mean an actual editor might approve it soon?

Noticed some minor grammer mistakes, including spaces in front of commas, like in the first paragraph of "abridged history of the subway".
Also, if you're going to erase the small joke on the bottom paragraph of the "subway etiquette" quote, you probably have to find some closure on it, as it now sounds a bit anti-climatic and less fluid to the casual reader.
I hope these criticisms aren't too painful to look at, but this was a lot of work to do, and I'd like to make the final product a work of art.

I believe it's "Walkmen" in the US, "Walkmans" in English.

...and I'll see what I can do about the punctuation. Your entry came through all scrambled and truncated (not your fault, I'm sure, a gremlin in the black box at the Towers no doubt) and I thought I'd caught all of them. It's a bit hard to spot them on a black and white LCD screen on a train, though
Actually, I thought the article was bloody brilliant. I really ought to fly out the States just to try the NYC subway...

After lots of discussion, trumped by the OED which allows either 'Walkmans' or 'Walkmen', we've changed it back to 'Walkmen'
Key: Complain about this post
