I've always been a firm believer in the idea of making editing a two-party process, involving give and take from the writer and the editor. As you're the credited editor for my "Inland Empire, CA" article, I have looked at what has been taken, and am prepared to give my opinions. Two points:
inbetween: This is not a single word in American English, so unless this word does in fact exist in British English, it is incorrect, and should be seperated as before.
The missing last bullet-"Ignorance. Some people just don't know any better.": I personally do not understand the reason for removing this little joke from the article. It was an excellent way to wrap up the article, it sums up the general feelings about the area (just check the forums from the original piece if you don't believe me), and it was mildly humorous. Having it in certainly didn't hurt the article, but removing it leaves the article with a feeling of incompleteness.

Hi!
1) You're perfectly correct, of course, 'inbetween' is a typo that crept in somewhere in the editorial process. I've alerted the Typos department and it should be sorted shortly.
2) I removed the little joke because it *could* be offensive to people who live in the area. Yeah, I know, but we have to be a little careful.

As I said, if you check the forums, you'll discover that NOBODY likes the place overmuch. We rag on it constantly. For instance, my own hometown of Fontana is generally referred to as 'Fontucky' by the natives. Trust me, nobody will be offended. As the newly appointed Minister of Offence, I give you my word on it.
Key: Complain about this post
