Hi
I saw your posts on one of those "What's wrong with this site" threads, which, frankly, I'm mostly avoiding. I'm planning to ignore all this and hope it goes away. I've unsubbed from 90% of my old threads cos of this business.
Anyway, I saw one of your posts about how you write entries about American 90s underground music (and I saw that you're planning a Guided by Voices entry ) and I wondered if you've heard of Soul Coughing? They are one of my favourite bands but I have never met anyone yet who had heard of them.

Hey!
That's awesome that you'd post this, and I do indeed love Soul Coughing. Not to the extent that a lot of fans do, I don't collect all of the bootlegs, but I absolutely adore 'Ruby Vroom' and most of Mike's side project and solo type stuff. Also dig the Eels and Morphine. Good good stuff.
I'm purposely making this short because, to be honest, there's not much for me to say at the moment, but I'd love to talk music sometime. Swap underground bands or whatnot. I always think that sounds pretentious you know, but really, it's kind of the only universal descriptor for non-mainstream music, so...
Cool stuff. Glad you like GBV and SC. Take it easy, hopefully talk with you later

Hey
I'd collect their bootlegs if I had enough money or I could find a bank stupid enough to give me a credit card!
I found them in Australia and they're hard enough to find there. Now I'm in New Zealand and no one here would know underground music if it bit them so I'm a bit behind in my music at the moment.
I love H.I.M. and Ween as well, and The Cure and Better Than Ezra. I've heard one song by the Bravery and they look really good but I haven't found an album yet.
