Just a small thought this entry. If we define a species as inteligent because they are capable of asking "The big questions" (why am I here, etc) can it be argued that a good chunk of the human race is not inteligent?
This poem is called "a simple thing", its very different to the other stuff. Thanks to Robyn who helped me figure out a title. Just wish this was inspired by someone. Damnit, Im lonely.
Just a word
Then I will know
That you truly care
Just a glimpse
Then I will see
All I need to know
Just a touch
Then I will feel
What you have inside
Just a kiss
A simple thing
Says more than I can.

No. Intelligence is generally badly defined as the possession of a skill or skills to discern and manipulate abstract objects, which is pretty vague because they don't define abstract, object, or possession. The best definition I have seen is Intelligence is a set of skills that allows a being to cope outside its natural environment. In other words the ability to do things that mean that you can live say in space is something that makes you intelligent. So say computers will be AI's when they can survive without needing us, nice to know huh?
