Well, this isnt realy anything, not even a poem, but it may just be insightful.

For the past two days, a moth has been hanging aroung my bedroom at night. It turned up wednesday night, I have no idea how it got in, or where it came from.

Last night (thursday) it was again and I had an unshakeable feeling it was there for a reason. Having the Illogical/irrational belief that the universe is a living concious being that I do, I feel there is no such thing as a coincidence, and it must have been there to tech me something, like an omen or something.

I began to ponder out loud, as to what a moth might mean, here is the best reconstruction I can do.

Consider if you will, the moth. From the time it emerges out of its Cocoon (or simular) it will live for about 3 days, it cannot do anything to live any longer, it has no stomach, and will die of starvation, it knows its only a matter of time.

From the time it emerges, it knows what it has to do, and the timetable it has to do it. It must find a mate, lay eggs, and ensure they have enough immediate foodstuffs. It doesnt have time to complain, nor does it have time to be too fusy, near enough is better than nothing after all.

So, perhaps thats the message, Time is short, do what you must do, and dont be too picky. After all, if that moth even took one day to complain, well, that would be the end of his/her line.

I just hope that the moth's sacrifce was worth it, spending two days confined in my room, means it probably hasnt been able to do those important things.

I wonder if it will be there tonight

Some Moths can live up to 3 years, the monarch butterfly live quite a long time, however in the later case thats mostly in a cocoon.

Is it a Butterfly, or a misnamed moth? They arent the same critter.

And the Moth did not appear that night.
