h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

No "usual" entry today, Im just going to vent. Please bare with me.

The "ex" mentioned in my first journal entry (THe Storm Poem) and I met up last weekend, We are ment to be best friends after all, and well, things were certainly interesting.

Quite simply, She was all over me. So, to the disapointment of most men out there, I was distant. Kinda Hard-To_get. call it honor/Chivalry thing, so I didnt take advantage of her (like most men, those guys make me sick, honestly). Although I relented and let her be a little Affectionate, I told her she had to be absolutely sure she felt she was doing the right thing, and for the right reasons.

Well In that time I did some thinking, and I worked out that since Im romantic, Selfless in relationships, honest and caring, and all sorts of other good qualities, Im alone, and the reason is- Im lacking in Superfical qualities. Im broke, I dont look particularly good, and I dont have athletic prowess.

So its settled, Im more Feminine than any other guy I know, most guys I find quite repulsive and yet, the "Farer" sex is bugging me too. So I'm down on apparently 95% of the population.

But what the heck, was only a couple of years ago I professed to hate 99% of the planet, so all in all, things are okay, I guess, So I share this poem thats basicaly saying, well, Im okay.

A smiling face be what you see
I Feel not some sense of Glee
Inside these walls here does stand
Thoughts of Hope, Anger and Demand
But all in all my needs are met
Yet I feel not some deep Regret
The smile I guess is not so fake
This day shall be what I make

Well, I forgot some things, but if you'll look between the lines, you'll guess that she has decided that its better just to be friends. Please, dont play with me like that, Im not a toy.

Any chance to go that way again? Well if she were to get down on her knees in a very crowded public place, and loudly apologise, tell everyone how silly shes been about it, and then pull out an enagement ring, I'd probably consider it.

Im a guy damnit, Im not ment to think like that.

Now I can't really give any real advice. Hell tbe last person I could call a girlfreind who whent "out" with me can't remeber my name. But I can say this women are not girls. Thats about the best advice I can give you. There are girls and there are women. One is nice, kind, the best person you will ever meet and even agrees with your politcal and socail viewpoints, the other treats you like a toy, makes no end of excuses, tells you lies about eveything they do, and makes it up to you when she cant get another guy like you. Guess which one is which? Whats more is some females are women from when there 10, and other are never women.
