I'm glad to hear that. Ms. Wing sends her regards.
I'm R.C. Young, BTW. Rock to my friends and sponsor of a very few and bright NAs on the web these days.
I'm glad to make your acquaintance. I've heard many good things about you.

So sorry
I missed this post along with many others this week!
Thank you for you kind words to me and worthwhile efforts within your posts.
I saw that you asked about ages on h2g2. There is a variety for sure.
I think you'll find ASKh2g2 a very frustrating place. Askh2g2 was the busiest when I first arrived a year ago, now it very slow.
THere are other places for serious discussions.
Two are listed on my page.
My page generally has older persons although I am quite fond of several youngsters here.
NA ? sorry what is that?
Thanks for the reguards sent by Wing.
Too bad I missed this earlier!
I was relieved to have seen her post on yahoo this week.
I am glad to know a tiny bit of the mentor in her life.
She has been taught well.
The writing was so similar and the message the same.
I believe what you have to say is important.
Thank you for the energy and wisdom.
I added you to my friends list so that I will not miss another post

NA stands for Native American.
Ms. Wing has tended to interpret my pontifications with some creativity I would hope. A carbon copy was hardly the goal when I undertook a portion of her education a few years ago. I've found her and several members of her family to have been rather brilliant, however, at the same time, they do tend to exhibit a certain annoying arrogance. For that reason I tend to keep my accolades modest.
Her personal issues will be resolved soon I suspect. She has a good head on her shoulders and a heritage of fortitude second to none. Unfortunately, the society she has tried to address isn't ready for the message and probably never will be until it has been subjected as it has subjected others. More is the pity.
I got the impression that the BBC is perhaps trying to lure a younger, less talented crowd used to television or video games. For a site such as this, that might be a very grave error. Where the members make the content, it behooves the administrators to encourage higher quality members, not the opposite.
I suppose we'll see how the strategy actually plays. I'm not optimistic.
Thanks for the inspiration you seem to be providing despite this sour turn of events.

You are not a carbon copy. The easily annoyed and the arrogance is not what has been copied or what works with most folks. It did cross my mind that she was trying the best she could to soften her approach. I went back and forth on that until I just asked I thought it was amazing change, if so I wanted to highly praise her efforts. I have a soft spot for her. There is time to change, I would not count on it any more than another person. It can be surprising who does.
You do speak softer with a wider range of topics another reason I thought * might be changing her style at least * had a heartfelt cause and was not here for the trolling. I'd be glad to see * back anyday. Are you involved in the dreemkeepers site?
Indian Country? Ignore me if I am too nosy
The site is very slow. I have been tempted to leave and it's documented in my journal. Many good people have already. If things do not change soon I will also drift away. I would keep in contact with those I can, whom have become friends.
Some think this is a basic chat site
Maybe that should be made clear at sign on - it's is not set up for that! Newbies get bent out of shape thinking they are ignored when they do not get an instant answer. I think of it as public pen pals. Sometimes you do, usually you get a response within a week, you'll learn peoples patterns.
Much serious discussion has happened in the past. Brillant scientist ,mathematians, linguist, writers.....have left.
The censorship of the site during the start of the Iraq War was enough for many to leave. The winter is busier but I am not at all sure this one will be.
I agree it would be a huge loss if it does not return with vigor and kinder and sharper. You are an asset here. Are you interested in writing articles?
I ignore flaming trolls, it's not worth it to me. I have lost it a time or two! I see we both ran into the same troll. There are a few with guaranteed bad behaviors.
I should have figured NA! Geesh that is worrisome! I was asleep at the wheel and been in pain which can be a bit distractive. Still....worrisome Oh well sleep is good medicine I'll return to see if you've stayed and adress you r others posts.
I must go for now.
