Just stopping bye to say hello.
I was offline for a bit due to computer problems.
Things were fixed rather cheaply but I still have freeze ups.
I have lost track of the thread we were going to keep so I thought I post here until I find it. Everybody welcome to join us
How are things going for you AR1?

I thought I would share a story I read today about a migrating bird called the godwit.
Great name huh?
They have discovered that this migrating bird whom meets their mate yearly at the same pond are coming from different directions! They have always assumed the male and female have traveled from place to place ending up at the same mating grounds! They are now wondering about other migrating birds and whether they have done the same thing unoticed for centuries.
They have also discovered an (darn cannot remember species , rather common one)bird that uses a rock to break open eggs and has been doing so for centuries. It was considered an "Aboriginal myth" of birds using tools. It has been happening all along!
New discoveries like this really tickle me and give me hope for some new things under the sun. Well let's say new discoveries under the sun I figure as long as that happens right under our noses it can also happen with ourselves!
Speaking of right under our noses....
In another animal story you may have heard they are saying that mans best friend can detect bladder cancer in urine samples. I was nearly proclaimed delusional by a ENT (ear-nose-throat)Dr for saying that my
tells me when I have a respiratoty infection. He would lick my nose by the bridge of it and nudge my nose everytime an infection was looming. Others
detecting skin cancers.
I think there is more to learn from them also and I would love to mention all of the above to that Dr from years past.
Not sure why I am sharing these
Hope you enjoy them

Hi dear abbi, big
Thank you for your dear message.
Your tales of migrating birds qre quite remarkable. In any case. just the ordinary migrating story is such a wonderful one,. To think that they come from opposite ends and to the same pond is quite mind-blowing.
These wretched freezing computers. Mine has also been playing up.
I find it quite incredible that people can apply their minds to breaking down one of the most wonderful inventions which should enable the world to communicate across continentsm and yet there are some poor misguided indiciduals who just try and islocate and upset any attempt to do so. I wonder why.?
I have lots of news and will try and post it in my journal. One of which is that K. is putting some of his pottery on exhibition for the first time next week. He is so happy about it it warms one's heart.
I quite believe the stories about dogs. They real;ly do have a sixth sense - which I am sure is developed when they are loved and cherished.
With much affection
