Hello, Christiane. Wexford was lovely. I did very little except enjoy the warm weather. Although you know me, 'very little' is a lot more than most people do on their holidays: we went swimming in the sea, catching crabs in rock pools, collecting shells, visited booksops, went to sea the geese in the Wexford Wildfowl reserve and visited the heritage park which has reconstructions of the sort of houses that people in Ireland lived in thousands of years ago.
I didn't encounter any artichokes, though.

Hi, Mr. Gnoman,
It sounds like One of your usual restful Holidays. Do you have family thee or family connections because I remember you all going there last year.
How is the girls music. I have just met a super person in America who is at a college that has just toured Europe with their college orchestra. She plays the violin and the viola and her name is echomickeyromeo. They even went to Finland and played in a a hall made out of rocks. Sounded fascinating.
Keep well.
Does Dublin have a Youth Orchestra?
Regards to Mrs. Gnoman and Hi to the giles

I'd heard about echomikeromeo's trip to Europe already. She is a very sensible girl and we have worked together on many entries. It's good that she can relax by playing music rather than in some of the wilder ways that young people often indulge. I didn't think she had started in college yet, though. She's only 16, I think.
My own daughters are still heavily involved in music, although not at the moment, as it is the summer holidays. El plays in the Dublin Youth Orchestra, which is so big that it is divided into four separate orchestras. She's just moved into the Concert Orchestra which is the 2nd best one.
We have a mobile home in Wexford, so we spend many happy weekends and a few full weeks there each year. You can see some photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/eoinmcauley/sets/72157594157975962/
If you are signed in with the id I sent you by e-mail, you'll be able to see my family. Otherwise you'll only see the ones without any people in them.

Hi,
Good morning.
Thank you for the photos. I believe that the permission to see your family - in Greece I think it was -narrived just when my computer went off the boilm - and stayed off the boil literally until yesterday, when I think that my friend eventually managed to get me practically back on line.
Tshey are lovely photos but I could have swon that the frisbee photo featured a human being - male, but with cap pulled down over his eyes!!
I am sorry that like the proverbial granddaughter(?) I am am attempting to teach my grandmother to suck eggs!!. I think she is a very bright person and I thought that the young musicians could make contact!.
Great about the orchestra. Does your daughter like playing in an orchestra. I think it must be very rewarding. That is why I so loved living in Shrewsbury because every week a wonderful person arranged for those of us who belonged to the Concert Club to go to Bimingham and hear the weeks's offering from the BSO under Simon Rattle (he had not yet been knighted)
Congratulations to El - is she the 'cellist?
Hope you can take the heat better than I can . It is just as bad as in Zim in "suicide" month which was October.
How is your singing in the choir - and are you running for charity again this year?
Christiane

Hi Gnoman,
You are so kind - thank you so much. I believe that wanadoo were taken over by Orange - but they wanted me to buy a mobile and sign a piece of paper saying I would have £20.00 of mobile calls a month. Well, I do not even know how to work the mobile I have let alone another one so I did not. anyway, as soon as I can establish who I am with I shall let you know.
the blackcurrant jam sounds scrumptious.
