Had to cut it short, as I had martial art training this morning. Back after kicking ass (well not really, but I just wanted to sound tough - did it work???)

The auction was fun, but insane. It was all happening at once, and postings were coming up all over the place, but we managed ok in the end I think. I hated playing the "I'm the auctioner and what I say goes" - what I wanted to do is go, "ok, here's Aly - $50 from Willow, GOING, GOING, GONE, SOLD!" I'm really glad that you won her - bet you're having a joyful time

I hope you can join us for the next round - I know you've got your prize now, but it is always fun to have you along (even for just some comments!) Maybe we can auction Xander off next time HEE HEE HEE, or we can auction you if you like I could do with a Willow-Slave!

Thanks heaps for the help tonight. For a second there I thought nobody was going to bid for me, then you raised the stakes and off they went. Poor Cordy was like "enough already, save some of your $$$ for me!!!" For that my dear Will, I am indebted to you for life...well, 5 minutes maybe! Let's not get crazy!

Tough vamp back again! I would be totally terrified but had too much fun this evening for real fear!

The thing with things like that is you have to be tough or people just take the p*ss! Me and Xander did the Buffy awards and people bugged us for ages to do it at such a time and how we were supposed to do it that had we not been a bit strict it would have been a total riot!

It was really good fun, even the banter, but at the end of the day, I ALWAYS get my girl!

A Willow slave uh? I'm not sure Tara would approve of you stealing me away!!
I wouldn't make a good slave, too disobedient! But more than willing to come along to the next one and keep those boys in line and be generally useful! I can be the muscle at the door to scare people... or I'll just wear the vampy Willow outfit... tight leather usually keeps minds elsewhere!

Bummer that I missed you earlier!

I've put you down as a slave for the next auction...and you are definately needed for the muscle at the door ! You're right - somebody needs to keep those guys in line, especially when we go to auction SMG and Eliza. And for you of course . I'll definately save my dollars for you - there is no way I'm winning James (not enough $$$), and David doesn't appeal to me whatsoever!

Maybe Tara could come along...bid for you herself.... oh, the romance of it all!

Off to work again tomorrow I think I've had the laziest weekend of my life! Lots of loafing about - I think I'm psyching myself for some busy weeks ahead....the weather is unbearably hot as well - too horrible to do much of anything!

I've been feeling like hell today, my voice has been all funny, I've been sounding like Barry White... which is good, if you're a black, male singer but not when you're not!

It's not looking like the internet connection will be sorted by saturday so I'll still be slower than a dead snail on the digibox!

The family thing? It does get slightly confusing, so go get yourself a drink and sit comfy!
I have 1 biological brother who is 4 years younger than me. Currently in the army but visits home at weekends as he's currently based in the UK but has just come back from Northern Ireland where he was training as a bomb disposal 'expert'. Thats a scary thought, my baby brother being an expert in anything.... just doesnt seem possible!
My "dad" remarried and I have 2 stepsisters and a stepbrother on that side, sisters are older and bro's same age.
My mum remarried and I have 1 stepsister on that side.

All step-siblings have children of their own, which makes me pretty much non existant as I dont see any of them, but technically step-aunt? Is there such a thing?

I think my life's pretty boring but am happy to talk about it, its a bit of a soap opera really.

Have told Tara she should come to the auction and bid for me or some boy might try and take me away and want to do unspeakable things with me!! She laughed!

Hey there! Feeling much better tonight then I did this morning thanks. I had a rest for all of about 15 minutes, all the while thinking about the consequences of not going to work - "so much to do, what about staffing issues, what if such & such phones, getting behind in work etc. etc." My brain was going so crazy that I eventually just got up and went! Afterwards I thought to myself - "will anybody really die in a ditch if you have one day off?" - after all, everybody is replaceable!

All in all, I'm glad I went! I had a presentation to do today, and aside from sounding like a total spaz (that whole headache taking over my brain thing didn't help!), I got through it ok. Funny thing is I got more achieved today than what I have in the past fortnight. Go figure!

How are you feeling now "Barry"? I did the whole mental picture thing - it was great!

A big thanks to yourself and Xander for making me an honourary Scooby Gang Member. I'm...well, honoured actually! I had a smile on my sad little sick face all day!

I have two brothers, 6 and 8 years older than me. They both live about an hour away, and I see them *maybe* once or twice a year. We weren't really close growing up, as they were out with their friends and I was just the annoying 'baby' sister. We aren't close now, either, although I do try to make an effort, as I have nephews and nieces, and I want to be in their lives as they grow up.

I'm always fascinated by close families - it's kind of bizzare though, almost surreal. Close families weren't a biggy in Buffy either were they? Sure, Buffy and Joyce were a lot closer in Season 5, but not in the first 4 seasons. As for Xander and Will, well not much family portrayed there, either.

Sounds like a mad sort of day. Thats the bizarre thing about being ill, you always seem to acomplish more than when you're healthy! I think you overcompensate for feeling blechy therefore get more done!

Trust me, its not the end of the world if you take a day off.... unless you're the Aussie Slayer, then that may be a problem!!

Im feeling less like I was hit by a tank and more like I was hit by a bus! But generally better.

Family is a weird thing s far as Im concerned. I dont understand the people who want to spend time with their family.
My friends are my family as all of mine are rude, arrogant and generally not nice. I dont think Ive actually had a conversation with my dad in the last ten years, not that I care, I refer to him as a sperm donor!

I wasn't going to tell you about the "Aussie Slayer" thing, but now that you guessed it....

Well by this time I'm hoping you feel less like 'run over by a bus' and more like 'run over by a pushbike' I'm feeling a little better again myself, but fingers crossed that today will be a little more productive (aside from the 3 hour meeting I have on today!) Meetings bloody Meetings!

Seems like we share common ground in the 'family' thing. For years our martial art people and other friends have been considered as our family. They know more about me than my biological family ever will! If I need help, my surrogate family are the ones I'll be turning to!"

As you know, it is the "BIG 30" for me this year. I'm planning to invite family along (will have to give directions, as my mum hasn't been here since just after my wedding - and that was 8 and a half years ago!!!) I can't imagine they'll fit in (hey, and maybe they won't even come), so either way is cool.

I only invited my dad etc to my 21st as I didnt think he come! He did, but didnt stay coz it was full of 'poofs', 'dykes' and folk that didn't like him and he didn't!!

He actually didnt recognise me when he walked in, there again, I was sprawled on a bench with a strange woman on top of me!

The look on his face was an absolute picture! Ive never seen him or my stepmum look so p*ssed off!! Not that I care as they decided to bring some of their friends, whom I hardly know and dont like!!
