I had to 'press this' just because it said not to do so! I suppose that is the whole point? There is always some bod like me who will do the opposite, just to be different.
Take care

Ah the first lamb to the slaughter I always knew someday someone would drop by and do just that, now that's happened I'll have to alter it
Thanks for the visit and the hug on the other thread. We seem to be visiting the same sort of threads Scorp so I'm quite surprised we haven't been more conversant by now. Such is the nature of h2g2
Can't you see your way to having a wee gander at some of our anagram puzzles, (just asking ..no pressure!) as with this quiet spell there's not much doing there. Try one or two you may find you enjoy it. Sometimes I find they keep my brain in tune, sometimes not!
Parkhead and Cambuslang are five minutes drive from where I am. Are you familiar with these areas? Added piece of useless info- Cambuslang according to local folklore was named after a wee Glasgow woman complained about the transport service there. Presumably- the bus took a long time to come, now, whether that's true or not is a different story
So anyway anytime your bored or lost drop by the chat thread and if I'm online I'll answer you or here, no difference....see you soon,
Arty

Morning Arti!
I have to admit that the great majority of my knowledge of Glasgow is second-hand. SS; my Husband was a lorry driver for 30odd years and spent most of that time in Scotland; mostly around the Glasgow area. I travelled with him several times to companies which have doubtless long since disappeared – like McNeils and Polyprint etc. Also as a Nottm Forest supporter in his earlier days, we spent a fair amount of time in a place just below Ibrox, called Jimmy’s Bar. Possibly owned by but certainly run by Jimmy Baxter – who according to SS was a genius who once played for Forest. They spent hours discussing his past achievements over many pints of ‘Heavy’.
I also worked for some years with a guy from the Gorbals and it took me at least six months to make sense of anything he said. However, once I had realised that the guttural roar of “Cmeeeeeeeeeer Yuooooooooooo!!” was not an insult, he became less frightening and my understanding was all downhill from there. It’s a great place.
I shall have a on the suggested threads and see if I am up to any of it.
'see' you again.
Scorpio
