Oh no; bad luck having to go back on the drunken friday night! But at least you've some time off! I'm taking a week off (not that I do much work anyhow), in a week or so, probably from Sat sixth I think it is my Brother is down for that weekend, before he travels off to Spain (easier for him to get into London from mine), then on the Monday, when he leaves to Spain, I'll probably get the train to my Fathers for a week or so
Frankenstein's Ugglier Brother
tsarina Posted Jul 30, 2005
Yeah I remember you saying your brother was coming down. You should be going to Spain with him.....all that sun, sea, sand, sangria and s**...........
Where's your Dads & what work do you do, when you do any?

I colnd't remember if I'd said about that or not Well, origionally I'm from Lowestoft in Suffolk, which is where my Dad and Brother still live. Though my Brother will be off to University in Hatfield (I tried to persuede him to go to a better university), from September; so then he'd be closer to me in Cambridge. Lowestoft, though its in Suffolk, is nearer to Norwich, about forty five mins or so on the train away.... And from me in Cambridge to Norwich is about one hour twenty mins, so not too bad relaly work? Well, I was looking for work for a long while, had applied for loads of stuff when I saw this one come up. Its absolutely nothing related to the two degrees I have I work from home, for a small firm that is based in London, (at the moment, the firm is me, and one other self employed guy, plus the Husband and Whife who own the firm). Effectively its telephone marketing, though there are differnt 'projects' as there are a few differnt clients....
The one I do at the moment, is calling bisunesses to speak to the financial directors, to try to arrange meetins between them and our 'clients' consultants, who want to show a presentation about 'employee benifits'..... Though of course, after the presentation they want to sell them products ; well employee benifits,; pensions, group pensions, private health care etc., etc., interesting stuff ehh? one of the other clients is a outsourced book keeping firm; though I've not worked on that one yet I don't get any pay; not weekly/hourly anyhow; as its all on comission hence why I'm so useless; as I put in sod all hours, and make sod all appointments! But the comission is on per appointment basis and is pretty good I have had some other work with them wich is simular; 'preapproching' work; basically calling firms to find out the names of the people we want to talk to; we have kind of incomplete database records for some of the firms, so they need to be updated as they can be old and the finance direcotr or HR manger might have changed that was quite good work actually, I didn't mind that too much, though not as profetable as the cold calling stuff can* be I relaly* must do some work this monday!

sounds rivetting!!! Still we all have to pay the bills don't we
You live in Cambridge? My best friend from school lives just outside Cambridge in a place called Barton........I'll be visiting her hopefully sometime this summer I went to school in Bedford which is where we first met, a very long time ago now As a child I live in Suffolk between Stowmarket and Diss in a tiny village called Westhorpe (no'ones ever heard of it )......small world huh???
BTW, did I tell you I have a daughter who's older than you

you have a daughter who is older than me? So your origionally from the Suffolk area (and I have heard of that place; think I may have once cycled though it!) So your coming over this way some time this summer? We'l have to meet up for a drink or something then Sorry about last night; just disappearing off; the internet connection went 'funny' for some reason, and I couldn't get back on then it was quite late and we had to watch a trashy moovie on channel five

Originally I'm from Watford but have lived all over the placeto be honest......bit of a nomad as a child cos of father's job........never stayed anywhere for very long!
I lived and worked in Africa for 4 yrs too..........now that was an experience
Willlet you know when I'm coming to visit my friend and we shall indeed meet up for a drink and I'll remember to bring that tape measure too
Frankenstein's Ugglier Brother
2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Jul 31, 2005
Africa!? I've never even been abroad Always thought about it, but never really had the oppertunity... Plus I'm not the worlds biggest fan of heat It'd be cool to meet up for that drink any idea when ish your likely to be visiting your friend? I'm off end of this week probably for a week or so to my Dads oh, I told you that dind't i? : I'll remind you to being the tape measure.... Make sure you bring one long enough well... a small ruler would probably do then....
Frankenstein's Ugglier Brother
tsarina Posted Jul 31, 2005
A 6" ruler be big enough then?
Have no idea when I'll be visiting yet,it all depends on a few things happening over the next couple of weeks or so......I need to get a new (secondhand) car first cos the one I've got now wouldn't make it past the severn bridge .....it's really on it's last legs! It sould be in the next month to 6 weeks tho hopefully
I lived in Gabon in West Africa for a year and then Sun City in South Africa for the next 3 yrs. I was a croupier working in Casinosover there ......I do love taking other peoples money
This pc I'm using tonight has a really really dodgy spacebar ..........it's driving me nuts!!!!!

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Jul 31, 2005
Gabon! : My friend who used to work on a survey ship went there a few times; said he relaly liked the place Wish I could go to exotic places... Well, theres nothing relaly stopping me cept I woulnd't want to go alone I think a 6 inch ruler might be a bit too short
Frankenstein's Ugglier Brother
tsarina Posted Jul 31, 2005
6" too small? .......my eyes are watering already
BTW it's my night off tomorrow night so I won't be online.........my home pc is sick and to be honest still packed away from the move......that's another thing on the 'to do' list!!!
I hated Gabon but then I lived there for a year.....not quite the same as visiting from time to time huh? It was very hot, very sweaty and not a lot to do in your spare time.......and no'one spoke English either so my French improved no end
If you fancy some company going abroad just give me a shout.........I love to travel

Well..........I've always wanted to go to Japan, but would love to go back to Amsterdam if you find Japan a bit daunting!!! Amsterdam has got to be one of the places I've ever been and not just for the obvious ......I did go to a live sex show there once .......it was interesting, shall we say
GET TO WORK YOU!!!! ...........

Work? this time of night? All my work has to be done pretty much during office hours, as the people I need to talk to arn't at work generally outside those hours I did a bit of work today... But I'm so close to just jacking in this job before I've even offically started it Amsterdam? sounds good to me; Japan would probably be too hot for me Just had dinner, pasta in cheese sauce with bacon and mushroom and onion and garlic came out well

tsarina Posted Aug 2, 2005
but we've been rushed off our butts tonight The company launched a new ad campaign yesterday on TV and radio and everyone and his mother has been calling us!
Why you thinking of quitting the job then? Too much like hardwork?
Amsterdam is a lovely city. Very laid back and relaxed, but that could have something to do with the cafes that sell other substances apart from coffee .....not that I indulge of course I just love the whole atmosphere there
Have just had a chicken chow mein and it's the first one I've ever tasted with 'garlic' in it.......very strange but it was nice
