Unfortunately due to present circumstances I can neither afford to give up work or move to France but thanx for the advice anyway

must try the telegram game sometime ... but not tonight! It's nearly 3:30 am and I must get some sleep (sorry to mention that coz you're on night shift!). don't take it as advice, just an invitation for some time in the future.

The telegram game is good fun and gives me something to work my brain in the wee small hours when work is quiet Some of the entries can be quite amusing and ingenious!

When you say an 'invitation for the future'.........is that to visit your idyllic sounding watermill or to settle over there myself somewhere? I have to admit, given the choice, I would probably move to Holland, possibly Amsterdam, as that's one of my favourite cities! Have only been to France 3 times and on the whole was not terribly enamoured of the French people, even tho I speak semi fluent French and can communicate quite well. Maybe Paris is not a very fair cross section of the population tho.........I found them to be very arrogant and rude on the whole
