h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Menza, you may or may not know that I am running for Virtual Dictator of H2G2. I know that the Aroma Café is an apolitical zone, and so I can't campaign there, despite it's being owned by my alter ego, Irving Washington, whom I believe you've met. I was wondering if the Forum and Firkin was the same way.

I've already asked this question in one of the F&F threads, but since they get so long so quickly I was afraid I'd lose your answer. My proposition is this: If the F&F is open to campaign promotions, I would like to supply it with some very competitively priced red wine. This wine has magical properties, for instance it's flavor adjusts to the consumer's tastes, and it only gets you as drunk as you want to be. The only condition would be that you offer a free glass of this wine to any patron who is willing to promise a vote for the Masque/ Red Fish ticket.

Its your choice. I'm not going to threaten you...

Well you can't campaign in any the main forums, past or present. But I would let you start your own thread, so long as you DON'T link to it from the other forums. I think that would be OK, but I would also let anyone else start their own threads too. So you would have competition.

Thank you. I'll start my own F&F forum, and stay out of the main forums. There was some confusion -- someone working at the Drive In thread agreed to my proposition, and so I thought that went for the whole F&F. I hope I didn't cause any problems. Us dictators like to look legitimate until after we've gained power.

Just to clarify -- I can advertise this forum in threads that are NOT on your F&F page, yes? For instance, I can link to it from my campaign HQ, and in say, a Space Center thread?

You can advertise where ever you like EXCEPT in another forum in the F&F, and that includes the Beer Tent.
