I've been opining for a while that the devilish smiley ought to be available in forums. Can't that be done the same way the traditional ones are?

If TPTB want to they can expand the collection. its just a case of adding a bit extra to the forum passing program. The problem is that you cant use HTML in the forums, else everyone would put pictures in them and they would take days to download not just hours. smiley - winkeye

Oh, HTML would definitely be out of the question. But if, for example, typing :-> could get you one of those little devils....

The accepted devil is >:-> but I don't know if the GUIDEML parser will recognise 3 or 4 character codes.

That depends on how they have written it.

Sorry to sound a bit off but I've been doing this kind of programing for a while. And it all depends on the habits of the programer as to how easy it is to add bits to a system.

Gotcha. Don't mind me, I know almost nothing about this sort of thing.

It also helps if whoever wrote a program leaves nice little notes inside the code so that they can remember what they were doing when they wrote it.

Ah yes, I tend to do that a lot when I program. Not that I program much.

I end up with two thirds of my scripts just being notes. It only takes me a week to forget how a program worked.
