...Amy
(I would have just put 'Hi Amy! It's Amy...' but I've already got a thread called that, and I don't want to get *too* confused...)
Anyway, how are you holding up, dear? Would you like to talk? Or even speak? (I've taken to using 'speak' to mean just on the phone... 'Talk' can be here, email, or phone...) though if we speak, I think it's only fair to warn you that you'll likely be doing most of the talking... Which may be just what you need right now, anyway... Just let me know, because I'll have to get offline to use the phone...

I'm okay... I sort of need to be surrounded by people though. It's a caved in feeling... very strange. Not very fun.
Call me if you like... I don't talk much either, even if I'm distressed in any way... though my roommate is on the phone with her boyfriend... it could be hours before they're done... and I need to get some sleep.
sigh.

So (if the phone were available) the conversation between the two of us would be like one with Ottox--both of us saying how much easier it is to talk here, and saying 'I'm trying to think of something to say...' over and over, with lots of pauses? (Actually, we're getting better...)
Get your rest, dear. At least you know that I want to talk... And I'm pretty sure you know I care

Something like that.
But call me, please... I have a counseling appointment tomorrow (just a precautionary measure of my own), but talking with friends is best...

Sure Tonight, sometime between 9 and 10 your time, OK? I'm not sure when we'll be eating tonight, and I don't want this interrupted with 'Dinner's ready!' (With Baggy it's different, because we're just being and discussing light things--I tend to dump the heavy stuff on him here)

Okay... I should be around... I hope. (I may have something I have to run out and do... if I'm not here, leave a message and I'll call you).

Yep! I bet if I'd said 'Amanda, not Amy...' over and over, I would have asked for Amy Oh, I got your email, and answered...

*waves*
I keep asking this, and it's probably gettting annoying, but... Any chance of a phone call later? About 9ish, your time? Or are you still really busy getting ready for next Wimpy?

I'm still obscenely busy... I was out till almost 9:30 at my High School's Christmas Concert, hanging with my friends from here...
A call will have to wait till at least after Christmas, I'm afraid...

OK
(Nice timing, btw... I just got on)
If I had any idea yet what time I'd be home, I'd point out that my birthday's after Christmas... but I don't think I'll be home that evening, and I wouldn't want to make you spend daytime weekday rates... (And I'm planning on pointing out that I'll be home on my birthday after the calling rates go down in the UK... Hopefully I can manage to be on the phone all morning and into the early afternoon)

So maybe when I get the 28th all figured out, I should give you times as well as 2legs, Amy, and Light? And I *know* there's no way Shorty will have to be in school on my birthday...

*change of subject*
Since Tom's not home, I'm listening to my Christmas CDs (he doesn't like carols) I like my new CD, but I'm not sure I like the version of 'What Child is This' that's on it... That song really should be sung to the tune of 'Greensleeves'!

*nods* ... what on earth is it set to?
My dad doesn't like general Christmas music either... he's a DJ and at his station they start 24-hour Christmas music the Friday after Thanksgiving... he gets sick of it really quick.

I'm not sure what it's set to... Doesn't sound bad, really, but it's WRONG... The rest of the CD is really good, though. Tom even likes the version of 'The First Noel' that's on it... (Can I remember who it is that sings it on the CD? No... But the CD is 'A Contemporary Christian Christmas' if you're interested...)

I actually not heard of that particular album...
but that's a real injustice done to What Child by not singing it to Greensleves. That is, unless Greensleves is not the original melody.
