I, too, resided in the city of Lawrence for over twenty years. Of course, now that I've moved to Topeka, the city actually is growing. I spent eight years of my life studying German as well, and remember practically none of it. Keep this in mind in your studies. Rock Chalk Jayhawk and all that sort of thing.

My most beloved toy as a child was a stuffed Jayhawk. I feel this has somehow affected my patriotism.
