Greetings sub-editor .
I was wondering if you knew why my entry on the Sedgwick Geological trail is in twice once with both our names at A593606
and once with the original date at A463691?

It's all down to the new subbing process - a copy of the article gets made which I get editing rights to so that I can do my editing without destroying the original and when I'm finished TPTB replace the original with the edited copy once they've checked it over.
It's all very clever and stuff - it should also mean that you can have a look at my edited version before I submit it and check that you're happy with it.
Hope that explains it.

The one thing it doesn't explain is the timeframe.
You got the Article in Early July. Do you surrender
rights to the staff in September? I don't mean to rush
you but the piece was in Peer Review for eight months and
it is hard not to be impatient. well I gues I will
just keep checking the status week by week. I'm sure you're doing your best. Say did you hear about the mentally unbalanced researcher?
He wanted an onion flavored union for h2g2. I think he must have got acrostic fevor.

Sorry I haven't got back to you before now - I only received the article about 6 weeks ago and I submitted it about 2 weeks ago. When the article gets accepted for inclusion it just goies into a queue until the next sub-ed is available - I've returned it to the editorial team now and once they've given it their once over it'll be in.
Hope this is OK with you.
