Thank you - there were many people who brought h2g2 to life - not least Jim who thankfully is still the technical genius behind all this. The more I think out about it , the more remarkable his acheivement was.

I've been pondering writing an entry on the early history of h2g2. As I firmly believe that this will be an enduring phenomenon it would be good to have the early days documented ( at least as they appeared from my perspective).

Best

R.

Yes that would make everyone here at h2g2 very happy.

I remember when I first found out about h2g2. It was a long time ago when h2g2 was a frames page.
I was overwhelmed by the whole concept, although I did not have a PC at the time, so I didn't have time to get the full experience of the good ol' days.
h2g2 is a fundamental piece of society because it brings to life the new concept that humans can actually have intelligent conversations, that lead to enlightment through the internet.
So I am very excited, to have the opportunity to read about the "first snowflakes" that sparked the h2g2 "blizzard."

I will wait with great interest until you post your entry. smiley - magic

Titania (gone for lunch)

*floating in, in her usual vague, elf-like manner*

Just thought I'd drop in and join in the greetings...

...because you're an Italic that I haven't had the pleasure of bumping into before, but I've seen you on the 'Who's Online' list lately...

...and, of course, elves /are/ bound to be curious...smiley - fairy
