Why do you have to bring up technical matters, when we are here on the golden sand, with the waves gently lapping on the beach, just a few feet away. Anyway, no good asking me. The sunscreen is only SPF 6 (which means it's outdated; I hear they don't use SPF numbers anymore). But I'll be fine; I'm getting quite a lot of shade from bluDragon's wing.

As for covering up: anyone who doesn't like my bathing suit can vacate the area!

While you swim, I'll take a nap. And then maybe bluD will tell us a tale of when the world was young and dragons and witches roamed the earth freely, without fear.

I am at a crossroads in life, Bill. Saturday night's party involved 150 people, disco and band, and a FREE BAR. The result was a determination to drink it dry (youthful attitude) and the outcome was a mother of a hangover (aged reaction).

Another party tomorrow. Will I last the week? And where is BluD with her infallible patented hangover cure.

Well, I believe bluD recommends vitamin C for hangovers. I've been wondering if she's ok. I suppose she probably had "real-life" commitments, what with the Yule coming up, and her Queenly duties, and all.

I have officially vacated the "Christians on H2G2" forum. I believe that this non-Christian has overstayed her welcome there by about a week.

You remember John Travolta on the dance floor. Although Toker is not renowned for his prowess in that particular activity, he was persuaded, by a very attractive woman, to abandon the bar and get his dancing gear moving. Not a pretty site, I have to admit. But it didn't seem to put her off too much. She must have been drunk. But she has agreed to meet on Wednesday.

Hooray!!! Toker has (as well he should) attractive women falling at his feet.

Don't tell him about your friend the dragon til you know her better. Some people are a bit touchy about these things....

I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday evening, then. Which would actually be Wednesday afternoon over here.

Toker, I popped by blu's place to see if she was ok, and maybe to water some of her plants. She has posted a notice indicating she is having technical difficulties of the computer-related kind, so all's well.

Very glad to hear that Blu is okay. Was beginning to wonder if, in her new regal persona, she was not going to speak to us commoners again. She must be getting awful withdrawal symptons. We'll have to be gentle with her, when she returns.

I have all day to prepare for tonight's date. Not always a good thing. Delightful childish feelings of excitement and nervousness.
As suggested, I shall stay off conversations about dragons and it is also probably best not to refer to my new female friend who likes to go around as a man, strangely clothed and with exotic footwear.

(smile) Yes, we women tend to be a bit suspicious of our man's female friends....

No time to write tonight, Toker m'dear. Off to visit with some real-life friends from out of town. But I was thinking of you and your date, and hoping that all went well. Keep me posted, ok? I hope she found you as witty and charming as I know you to be.

I think it must be your turn to go get the ice creams, Bill. Mine's strawberry flavour. And watch this midday sun. Even the mad dogs and englishmen are huddling under the beach umbrellas.

(looks around and, indeed, all the Englishmen are under umbrellas, and each and every one has a large dog present.)

Not sure it was a good idea to bring Alice (yours, not mine) to the beach. She is looking a little warily at all those canine mental patients.

Late in the day now ... lets all fill our glasses, add some crushed ice and together watch the sun set.
