Just don't get it lbp! Anyway my message was that Gerona is a lovely place and as you are a bit of a culture vulture I think you would love it. It is unbustly and relaxed with a marvellous old town full of lovely crowded apartment buildings and all these little alleyways which twist and turn all over the place. THere is an amzing cathedral and art galleries and musieums as well. It has an old Jewish Quarter, Arab Bathhouse teh lot. We only had a couple of hours there but plan to go back minus kids for a w/end next year.

was your hotel in baca nice ? and did you sit on the ramblas in the evening drinking sangria ?
what about ramlas de la mare ? did you go over there ?

I'll do that LBp but probably not until tomorrow .
Our hotel was nice and central, classy and comfortable.Quite a few hookers around tho! WE didn't sit on the Ramblas drinkiong Sangria but did wander up and down it. Had a good meal near the cathedral and then late night Gin andnTonics in a little bar near the hotel with little bar prices not Ramblas ones!

oh yeah all human life is in barcelona
makes me envious cos it is my most favourite place - i did harbour thoughts of maybe retiring there

Lovely. Great location, no brits in football shirts! The villa had a terrace with views staright out to the sea..just magical!
Better go and cook now, I'll mail you properly tomorrow and fill you in on the rest of the holiday. Do you know if INtern set up a travel thread on the book page?

i dont think he got round to it he has been off doing other things since you went away ( he didnt go with you did he )
very mysterious he has been - and has moved the book club about 15 times

Why did intern keep moving the bookclub? All that packing up everytime!

i'm not quite sure he was tinkering and all that hammering and painting kept me awake nights

What is he like? Will he never be satisfied with the bookclub?

no he is obviously a perfectionist - speak later am off to get ready for work

I'm off to watch a bit of TV with hubby ..catch up later this evening?
