No Break
Posted Jul 29, 2002
I wanted you when I saw you,
I wanted you to be mine,
And from the way you held me,
I had thought we would be fine,
We kissed so very passionately,
And we spoke as lovers do,
But in days I’d realised,
That I had already lost you.
Yet your auburn hair shook me,
And stirred me like no other,
Your smile sent me shivers,
Like a forgotten lovers,
I missed you constantly,
Your breath upon my neck,
Your sexy slinky look,
And the dainty little peck.
I wasn’t blind, but stupid,
You’d even told me to wait,
You showed me the worst,
Of what could be our fate,
But I ignored your warning,
And gave you all but heed,
I wanted you too much,
I just had to succeed!
So then you had to stab me,
Like you’d prepared me for,
But it still shocked me wholly,
Yet I returned for more,
You attempted to be kind,
But you destroyed my belief,
And as you ask to be friends,
I wonder if I will find relief.

One More Smile
Posted Jul 1, 2002
Oh please give me one more smile,
Or just a quiver of your lips,
As you stand far across the room,
Hands resting lavishly on your hips,
Your angelic figure lit from gloom,
Oh please, just one more smile.
I beg you for one last glance,
To show me that you really care,
But if not, I’ll know where I stand,
And will have to be content to stare,
And to never hold your perfect hand,
I beg for a final glance.

Christmas in the Alley
Posted Jun 27, 2002
The deep crimson red,
Mixed with the white,
Spilling and oozing,
Colouring the flower bed,
Flowing to the gutter,
It's Christmas in the alley,
Christmas in the alley.
The cough of a passer by,
The huddled shuffle,
Breaking to a jog,
They hear your wounded cry,
But they wont ever care that,
It's Christmas in the alley,
Christmas in the alley.
The chilling icicles,
Numbs your useless legs,
Now bathed in blood,
You hear bells of 'cycles,
But they wont ever find you,
It's Christmas in the alley,
Christmas in the alley.
Presents for daughter,
Their paper ripped,
She'll never see them now,
Melting snow to water,
Unless she also knows,
It's Christmas in the alley,
Christmas in the alley.
The happiest days near,
The day of good will,
A man shuffles past,
He looks away in fear,
But he's not the one who's,
Christmas is in the alley,
Christmas in the alley.

First Christmas Alone
Posted May 27, 2002
As I sit here I ponder,
On what’s been won and lost
I marvel in jealous awed wonder,
As I watch the people stumble in the frost,
They laugh and sing behind the pane,
The greet each other with merriment,
And I finally doubt they are sane,
Because they just cannot be content.
Maybe I lost the plot,
Should I be with them out there?
Am I wanting something that’s not?
Surely I can leave and just not care,
But I can’t be like these people,
I’ve tasted the forbidden fruit,
I’m like a church with no steeple,
That I chose to leave you, I refute.

Reality
Posted May 25, 2002
The trees are green,
The sky is blue,
But it seems so bland,
When i'm without you,
I sit alone and wiat,
Watching the phone all day,
And distractions i hate,
I don't care what THEY say,
You don't even know me well,
But not being with me,
Your condeming me to hell,
So please set me free.
The trees are green,
The sky is blue,
But even in the sun,
All i ever see is you,
You have seen me and run,
I try and forget your smile,
But safe places, there are none,
For even asleep it's a trial,
Just give me another chance,
And i'll show you paridise,
For 'I love you' is my stance,
And my only vice.
The trees are green,
The sky is blue,
Beautiful as they are,
The're nothing compared to you.
