Since you're aware of the no advertising rule, you won't be suprised that I've removed your spam from the forums.

Don't do it again.

Sci-fi Comedy Filmmaker

I'm sorry if my posts sounded like advertising but if you look carefully, I think you'll find that I am an artist who has been heavily influenced by the HHGTTG and my movie would probably be of some interest to h2g2 users. I never asked anyone to buy my movie; in fact, my movie's website is not even a place where it can be purchased. I was merely trying to get my movie noticed by people who appreciate Science Fiction Comedy; perhaps to get a dialogue going about sci-fi comedy in general or my filmmaking in specific which, as it happens, exists on the planet Earth and may even be worthy of an entry in the actual h2g2 someday. I was just tossing it out there for discussion, as your guidelines suggest. Let me know if I'm way out of line with this or if there is a way that we can come up with an acceptable way for me to talk about my HHGTTG inspired work in the various forums.

I'm sorry, but when you spam completely inappropriate forums with the same message, it's against the rules. And it doesn't matter if it's only your website you're promoting, it's still advertising.

If you conribute meaningfully to other conversations instead of just spamming, people will visit your home page. That will give you the opportunity to talk to them about the things you do.

By the way, the title of your magnum opus is not designed to be child friendly, is it?

Fair enough. I now have a better sense of how the h2g2 works and I apologize for my previous actions. Thank you for explaing it all to me. Oh, and about my movie's title, I guess I never really thought the word "s**t" was anything to hide from children. Usually they know it to mean caca so they use it appropriately. (i.e. "something smells like s**t") If they start saying "Oh s**t," how can you blame them? Everybody says that. It's not harmful or hateful to anything but the caca. I don't have kids yet so these are just the opinions I've developed so far. However, opinions, in my opinion, should always be subject to change; although I could think differently about that in the future.
