Well meaning friends
Posted Jul 18, 1999
I have one rhetorical question, why is it, that the world is full of couples just when you no longer have a 'partner' and why is it that friends (especially the girls) always hassle you about being single?
Am I just imagining it all or am I just turning into a bitter and twisted old spinster who is destined to own a cottage in Wiltshire with her friend (you know who you are Jules! :0)?!?!?
What annoys me the most is that the g/friends who are stressing me the most have recently become a couples and are turning on me in droves!
*heavy sigh*
End of rant (oooh that felt good). Tiz.

Object of Desire
Posted Jul 2, 1999
...the object of my desires has class, looks and most of all the brains to back up the brawn. A sexy smooth walking piece of art with specfications to die for...who, or more correctly what am I talking about? - the new Apple G3 400MHz powerbook.
This is not an advert, I don't work for Apple, in fact the last time I munched on a soft squelchy pomme was about 3 years ago when I brought into the myth of "an apple a day..." anyway I digress...I saw this beauty on a cover of a magazine in Smiths and elbowed my way through the IT smelling men (they do have a certain smell - next time one wafts past you, smell them!) and brought my first 'computer' magazine. Having read the first few lines I was hooked.
Who could resist the looks and the pure physical beauty of this thing? It oozed something that I can't put my finger on, and I found myself wondering how many meals I could physically skip (without dying) before I could afford one. Alas I don't get paid enough and if I was to buy one then it would have to be the top model (of course, DVD, USB, SCSI, CD, DEE-MEE, SEE-SEE, YOU KNOW ME etc.)
If you haven't seen it yet then I suggest you check it out, you can find details on the offical apple site www.apple.com (you can't miss it, they've got a whopping profile of the hussy on the homepage).
If it means that I am a full time geek/nerd with no life and an abnormal lust for a piece of metal and microchips (not the potato kind), then by all means, bring it on!!! - Guilty as charged.
