Hi, yes, and I had seriously annoyed her yesterday by standing up for someone that she had a problem with so - fair play to her for not holding it against me!! Me and my big mouth!!

I'm not very good to standing up to people at work..one in particular tends to rule the roost but I just keep smiling and she doesn't tend to have a go at me anymore as she has done in the past!

sometimes keeping a low profile and not antagonising people does work better, but I do think you have to stand up for what you believe is fair when it comes to the crunch or something!! LOL

I would if I felt something was really unjust. Office politics can be hard work I'msure and i can assure staff room ones are just as bad.Especially when you work in an entirely female environment as I do! Thta will all change in Septmeber with a major reorganisation of 2 schools, all evry exciting but a bit scary as well. My job won't change but 1 head will be in charge of 2 schools instead a head in charge of each.Intersting times ahead!
