Vegiman, sorry I'm not technical at all, especially when it comes to websites, copying, pasting etc...PLEASE HELP.

OK step by step

put the cursor on the text you want to copy. try copying this forum first as practice.

left button click the mouse and hold the button down

move the mouse over the text you want to copy still holding the left mouse button down all the time.

The text you are about to copy will turn a different colour (highlighted).

When you have highlighted all the text you want to copy let go of the mouse button.

Now go to the top of the page(browser) where it says:

File Edit View Etc and click on Edit then click on copy

You have now succesfully copied your chosen text.

now go to your home page (or any other text editor/Word Pro come to that)

now click on edit in the goo at the side of your h2g2 page

Choose where you want to put the chosen text by clicking the mouse and putting the cursor on the page

Now go back to the top of the page and click on edit again. This time click on paste and you should have then transfered the text just where you want it.

now click on the grey box at the foot of your page and walla you have it

Now if you want to tidy up your page: type in one continuous line dont break it unless you want to make a paragraph.

once you have done this go back and put on the last line of the paragraph - Get rid of those nastey -----------

you will have then writen your first html code BR= BREAK so html code for line break = the forward slash is important. vegiman

Vegiman, I really appreciate your help here, but I'm not sure about these . Please check out my home page. How can I move the last sentence to make my page look better.

Vegiman, I tried this myself (hope you don't mind) and it didn't seem to work. I tried placing it in my journal and it just came up as script, what might I have done wrong?

Hello Chewie, I got your message welcoming me to the Guide. Very kind of you to reply! Yeah, I'm not too hot on this HTML mularkey, this is why I like the guide, cos you don't really have to know any to communicate with people. It would be nice to know a bit though! Thanks to vegiman i seem to have sorted the link on my page at last. Quite useful.
