Beautiful Girl...

Ive just seen the most beautiful girl. Siting astride her tall broad chestnut horse.

She had pace, ultimate grace with golden curled hair strewn carelessly down her back from her riding hat. I sat studying her with her straight back, the pendulum action of her hips and legs gripping her horse as she sat astride.

I'm not normally a horsy man, but boy was she a stunner. She had power, elegance and control as I approached her from the rear, hung back for a while so as not to startle and then moved slowly past her as she waved me forward.

She smiled warmly, waved and then I was gone...

Did I paint a picture, did I do her justice...

The Mysteries Explained!

I want answers....

The Lonesome Boot.

Does the lorry driver (and I'm generalising here) jump down from his cab after 6 long hours behind the wheel only to find that without explanation one of his rigger boots has mysteriously wiggled its way off his foot and jumped out of the cab window in a bid for freedom.

The boot can now be found somewhere on the hard shoulder of the M5? How can this be! I'm pretty sure I would notice an unusually wayward foot garment leaving my person without my intervention and leaping out of the window!

The Squashed Glove
And to join the lonely boot can usually to be found the squashed single glove! Its fingers bent back sweeping along the road like tumbleweed.

Cell Phone Purring
What is the strange laboured beeping sound your mobile phone makes just before you receive that incoming call? And if you're really lucky. Sometimes your phone will just be siting there minding it's business when without warning it will gently purr and you, and then nothing, back to silence once again! What's it doing? Is it trying to communicate?

Team Phillips

Ha ha!!!!

Team Phillips and the amazing vanishing catamaran!!!

The £4 million super yacht was built to smash the Jules Verne round-the-world speed record.

The revolutionary carbon-fibre catamaran, which had twin 130-foot masts, each worth £1m, was skippered by former Royal Marine Pete Goss and five other poor souls.

Going going... gone...

It's only the largest most expensive catamaran ever built!!

The giant catamaran measured 120 feet by 70 feet - about the size of the centre court at Wimbledon.

After years in design and development, and on it's first see going trials, a massive and rather crucial bit of the bow snaps off!

No problem, take it back to the work shop and we will spend more millions and fix it.

On the second outing, the masts *sway a little to much*, so back to the workshop it goes!

On the third outing, thing go well until the swell gets up. They abandon ship and for a while, they think the French have pinched it bobbing about on the ocean.

They monitor the vessel with the satellite navigation system, but then even this fails!!

They admit defeat and loose the catamaran to the sea, god know where.... lost

And the best bit.... the project leader comes on the telly totally distraught and tells the world that this is the end... fineto..

So much money, so many sponsors, and it was only insured third party.... laughed so much I nearly peed myself!!

Sid smiley - cool
