The T/S Cont. Episode 2: The Birth of Hilbert Space
Posted Aug 13, 2006
Nine months to the day after the private display of Parsley and Rosemary's affection for each other popped into their lives a most curious addition to their blissful union. He was not long to be nicknamed Crawl Space as parking this Space was a difficult proposition indeed.
Hilbert Space was a uniquely artistic child who received his first etch-a-sketch at the age of two. He would doodle away the livelong day and amazing doodles he would do. Across the etch-a-sketch screen he would blaze his trails with a particular eye for minute details. While scrawling text he would take great care, though remaining space appeared not there, to dot a multitude of microscopic i's and cross a vast array of quanta t's.
Dotting i's and crossing t's on an etch-a-sketch may appear a daunting, if not impossible task where no discontinuation of the single line is acceptable, but for little Hilbert Space it was mere child's play. At the end of a word which required dots and/or crosses, he would lap back over like a gentle wave or the family dog supplying a generous lick as an afterthought to a tender moment. Retracing through this wave or lick, he would pick back up on the solid-running line between words, the silence between heartbeats but always in the background.
Young Hilbert was a veritable Zen Master not attached to his creations but ever fully in the moment with them. He could produce the most exquisite mandalas ever to grace an etch-a-sketch screen, causing passers-by to pause and sigh as he took their breath away. He could hold a masterpiece in his hand and shake it back into the sand from whence it came without the merest hint of farewell. It was simply a heartbeat in the life of this young, budding artist.

The Thyme/Space Continuum: A Drama in Progress
Posted Aug 10, 2006
Once upon a Thyme, before she shucked her maiden name, Miss Rosemary was a naive young girl, adamant and strong-willed by nature. She had always felt comfortable with and by herself and knew little about fitting in with a crowd. Numbers completely perplexed her.
She had a bit of the jitters as she stood at the altar with a host of well-wishers in the massive cathedral on this, her wedding day.
"Parsley Space, do you take this woman, Rosemary Ann Thyme, to be your awfully wedded wife, to have and to hold until death do you part?"
"Yeah, Uh-huh, I guess so," Parsley mumbled convincingly.
"Rosemary Ann Thyme, do you take this man, Parsley Space, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold until death do you part?"
"Eye dew", she cried tearfully, as the rings sealed the deal and all that remained of the public display was the fateful kiss to impart endearing intent to their solemn vows.
