 Today. The day immediately after the self-destruction that purported to be yesterday. Yesterday went on forever, it was the summer solstice, and stayed light long so everyone could see what i had done, and laugh. I uncovered a plot to take over the universe, but i had to take on six henchmen who were armed with spanners. don't worry though, i stabbed most of them in the temples. except one, who beat me on the head and gave me a nice red welt on my head. this is especially attractive in a blue light. unfortunately it does not go with my tuxedo. i am wearing this tuxedo in three days for the ball. dagnammit. Today. today my head hurt tremendously: 8 aspirins. still pounding and i am still knackered. oh well there's always tomorrow. or thursday. oh no that's right thursday i have college then work and then i've got to go and operate the lights for a play i am directing. and then we are taking our departing theatre studies teacher to a bar to wine and dine him beofre we say goodbye to him (ok it almost rhymed)...

but always look on the bright side of life, as eric idle, in his infinite wisdom once told us, so to be honest i can't ever remember being happier than i am at the moment. this is down to a few factors: first, the fact that i am directing a play, the fact that i am college president and best of all, on sunday i will have been going out with katherine for a month. she rocks. in a kind of "similar plane" to me...
