"Out Of The Trees" on NFT December 2!
The Duke of Dunstable Started conversation Nov 14, 2006
Saturday December 2 is a treat for Douglas Adams fans, as the NFT ( http://www.bfi.org.uk/incinemas/nft/film/7027 ) will show "Out of the trees", Graham Chapmans and Douglas' legendary comedy pilot which features Maria Aitken and cast members from Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Could be of interest to all those of us who remember the DNA/Jim Yoakum bo***cks from back in the days: http://www.douglasadams.com/cgi-bin/mboard/info/thread.cgi?2107,0

Ah Vestie, ol fella me mucker. Sorry about my absense, but frankly I can't get the hang of this place anymore, and I'm also busy with my own site which has grown at a startling pace. But as I miss the bunch terribly, I will strive to pop in more frequently.
How are things then? All top notch?

Yes, notches are fairly high.
EV has gone too. Fallen out with the powers that be I think.
The corridors are sometimes a bit echoey.

There what did I say!

I'm so glad to see a few of us old 5 digit geezers still about.
This is the first I've ever heard of Out of the Trees. Fascinating.

Count Zero, if you google it, there will be some sites about it.
Vestie, yes I heard from Lost in Scotland, or whatever his name is nowadays, that Vibe was a wee bit disappointed in the actions of the TICs. I, for one, am not surprised, I think you get suppressed here, but as it is constantly growing I am thankfully in minority.

Between 500 and 1000 Researchers show up daily on a total of 15000 to 30000 we are a minority. Though even the football crowd has a daily visitor count between 1500 and 3000.
You are proud of vife digits ? I am proud of all seven

As you rightly should be!
But I didn't get what you were on about with all those numbers. Please clarify.

I run some statistics over the online page.
The numbers are the total number of visitors per day during the last seven days. For HooToo it varies between 500 on sunday to nearly 1000 thursday.
This is nothing compared to the football (and other sports) board 606 there they have 1500 to 3000 signed-in visitors each day. Where the total of the dna cluster goes between 15000 and 30000 each day.
What I also notice is that about ten or twenty of the ancient Researchers pay a visit to HooToo each week. Most do not post or write, they just visit the site once and then stay put for months again.

Ah! I'm actually here a bit more often, not always logged in. That is because I keep forgetting my username and password, and can't recognise the question asked when I try to retrieve them. I think all's in order now, however.

I had that problem over the changeover. That's why there were two vestboy accounts for a while.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
