Couldn't have said it better myself

Greetings Milord.
I really don't have the time for this here H2G2-surfing these days, but the bad news from this weekend brought me here. Many people here are mourning the death of a great and innovative writer and a talented critic of life, the universe and everything – us humans in particular and I took the time to see what other people had to say on the matter.
The headline speaks true – I really couldn’t have said it any better myself. I never met the man; never even saw any of him other than a brief glimpse on BBC about half a year ago. I didn’t even know he was married, much less a father, and yet I feel a personal loss. I’m sure that if he hadn’t been dead, he’d have been able to come up with some ingenious comment to the situation, but alas…
So this entry just to say that you took the words, if not out of my mouth, then out of my heart.
Greetings again, Milord.
And a little hollow...

Thanks. It's the weirdest thing, how affected one can get. I suppose it's what makes us human.
Hope all is well with you, and good luck with your new job!

Greetings Milord
All is not well - after all, The Man has died - but most is. Thanks for the good-luck-wishes.
Yeah, I suppose it is what makes us human. Our ability to care - even for people whom we've never even met!
Funny thing though...
