h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

We in the QI Massive are beginning to lay plans for the bash next month.
One lady is aiming to arrive in The Smoke approx 1400 or so, so it looks like we'll agree on a hostelry into which we will drift in dribs and drabs, whence we will move en masse to the Venue.
I am sure you will be most welcome.

I arrive doon sooth about 3pm and am staying in a hotel nearby.

There's a Wetherspoons on Kingsway that h2g2 have adopted as our own, we've only been barred twice. Not been there for about a year so can't attest for its current state.

If you provide the name, I will see how that goes down with the QI gang.
Mind you Wetherspoons don't let people use e-cig vaping equipment, allegedly. But I am sure I can cope

Kings Head rings a bell, but it's been a while and I'm happy to go anywhere serving alcohol to be honest

Most helpful - I see there is a Kings head in Stafford St, apparently not too far from the venue.
Seems a possibility.!

Ah, Kingsway/King Head/Kings Langley/King Tutmosis... easy to get confused, especially when a pub and grog are involved

Indeed! It's just your typical Wetherspoons pub, nothing special at all. So please, if someone suggests something better, I'm happy to go elsewhere.

But it *is* close to the venue (literally around the corner I believe) and you do always know what you're getting with them.
