Became a resarcher for the guide!!! As I have been a h2g2 fanatic for many years and have the cd's in my car and play them daily I see no reason why I should not be here!
I live in Australia a large block of land at the southern end of a small blue planet called Earth (this is for the benefit of any extra terrestrial hackers!).
The concept of other intelligence within the near reach of earth creatures is the subject of constant discussion, but most of the time many earth creatures are more concerned with anhilating the other Earth creatures in large numbers.
It therefore follows that we are not really very clever at all, because we have spent more time and money trying to destroy ourselves than in the pursuit of sensible contact with other planetary inhabitants who might be able to teach us how to stop trying to get rid of ourselves!
These are just a few futile thoughts on my behalf, in the hope that some like minded beings may one day see some small grain of sense in this.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
