I am shocked. Foxtown (nice motto by the way) is one of those towns you pass through without much thought (except "nice motto by the way") and I am surprised to discover that somebody there has access to the internet, let alone electricity and education. So well done.
As to your somewhat apocalyptic predictions, my advice is to put them far into the future - say 2349. That way if you are wrong, you will be long dead and no angry and deluded cultists will turn up at your door wondering why the mothership didn't arrive and what happened to all the money they sent you.
