I can certainly empathise. So, author of the brilliant "Courtesy is Catching", where have you been? Come visit me @Mountains, or @Greetings for some stimulating conversation.

Thanks for your positive comments Serendipity. I have been gliding the material world pretty heavily lately and have thus neglected my duties to my own writing and your response. I have touched upon your home page and like it. I will be back for more conversation asair (As soon as I remember). I noticed you study the relationship of the individual and the group, or the mass. I have one theory which postulates that we all are of the same mass (of spirit, or soul) which was 'one' a long time ago but now is separated. But even though we are separated at a spirit-body level, we are still connected at a basic spiritual level, and now even more so at a material level. I say this because what one does to another WILL effect others. We all live in the same house (Earth) and as such if one breaks a window we all get cold. That's why I wrote the first article about being good to others, because not only do you feel better than normal (opposite to a hangover), but the chain of events flow on and the positivity not only flows back around to you in the material world, but we all feel better on the inside (in our soul) overall. Of course, if you don't believe in that spiritual crap there is still the benefit to the reality you know.

Indeed, there is a spiritual aspect to superrationality. As you say, it makes you feel better on the inside as well as making everyone better off on the outside. There must exist a magical threshold number, where once a certain proportion of the population are acting superrationally, the remaining proportion rapidly follow suit. What sort of percentage do you think we need?
