Journal Entries

Tuesday 1/6/99 - Return

Ok, I'm back to writing more journal entries now, because my good friend Evil Bobchan (http://www.h2g2.com/u40526) is shaming me into it by the sheer volume of qool entries he has made. D'oh!
Well, about all I can say is that exams are bad, but what's even worse is talking to people after them...
For example:
Other unfortunate examinee: How did you find it?
Scenario 1: Me: Fine!
OUE: -thwack!- You bastard!
Scenario 2: Me: Bollox!
OUE: -derisive laughter- You what? Hey everyone, this guy found it hard!
Scenario 3: Me: By going to my desk, and there it was!
OUE: No-one likes a pathetic pun..... -thwack-
..etc...

Also today, I discovered that the video to Stereophonics' new release is based around the Italian Job! Hurray! For those of you who are American (my condolances): the IJ is an incredible film about three English-driven Minis which nick lots of gold of the Italian Mafia and then leg it during a hilarious and perfectly done HUGE car chase. Only now they've decided to remake it for the American audience using....VW Beetles! smiley - sadface Oh well.

Final note: Girlfriends- whose bloody clever idea was that, then/

25/5/99 - First Final

I've just had the first of my finals for this, my first year at Uni. The Uni is Bath, the subject is Maths, the point to it all is completely beyond me.

Noting that I was in distress after the stunningly successful exam (-cough-), a friend
of mine has talked me into joining the Guide. And because I've loved it since the words
"small blue-green planet", I jumped (/typed) at the opportunity. So here it is! My first
journal entry. And if anyone honestly cares about what it says, reply! And in your reply mention the secret phrase "Good luck in your exams!", so we know what you're talking about. DQ
