Towels
Posted Mar 12, 2013
Towels...more important than we sometimes think. Yea, we've all been taught to never forget our towel and all of the towels many useful uses but after awhile I think we take our towel for granted until that day when we really really need it and it's not there.
.
It's your towel, know where it is at all times and take care of it the way it takes care of you.
Viva La Towel!!!

Hmmm
Posted Aug 4, 2011
It's a bit strange now, I remember when I first wandered this blue goo (back before you had color background choices) you could click on the 'who's online' button and know 99% of the people on there. Now you click on it and I'm lucky to know 1 person on the list.
I was referred to as an 'elder' a few weeks back because my user number was only 5 numbers long. Not sure if that is a good thing or not.
Kinda miss MadMunk and his dragon, Marv the Great and his Church of the True Brownie, The magical Hot-tub, Vegiman and his antics, Anonymouse and her cheese fetish oh and we can't forget Greebo and the donuts...or was that doughnuts, I forget LOL!
Oh, and ThePost!! I remember the birthing of this jewel! How many remember the role that Vegiman had in the creation? I remember the 1-2-1 interviews, my favorites are between two - Woman Lovingly Sculpted and the interview with GOD (that was def. an interesting one I must say).
I also remember the days of Agony Aunt, still can't quite get the key to work in that door just yet but hopefully soon the rust will be knocked off and I can enter once again.
I remember the long hours that Shazz would spend tolling over the editing of ThePost and all the fabulous Wowbagger cartoons and the list goes on and on.
Guess I am sort of an 'elder' and that's ok. Sometimes I miss the old days but guess everything has to change in the end

The Year of the Animals
Posted Mar 18, 2003
Yip, you saw that subject title correctly My birthday is this coming Weds. and so far I have received 2 ferrets and one cockatiel. HEEELLPPPP!!! Don't get me wrong, I love animals I am beginning to feel like a zoo I now own 3 dogs, 4 cats, 3 ferrets, 1 bird and a goldfish pond full of goldfish. I think I am beginning to go loopy. My loving husband and son have sworn not to get me a live animal for my birthday...they are the only ones in my family left to give me a gift. I told them to just let me sit on my couch, watch a good movie and relax.
Oh, if I could talk to the animals ...sorry, the song has been going through my head all evening LOL!!

Spring Fever
Posted Feb 3, 2003
I have the fever...Yes, the fever.
It is almost to much to bear.
Spring fever has struck and I cannot get rid of it. I am sooooo ready for the leaves to return to my trees, the waterfall on my goldfish pond to turn on and actually stay on night and day, the flowers to bloom around my yard and give me pretty colours, the smell of fresh cut grass...everything.
Our temps. are beginning to rise and the days are getting warmer, I don't care what that silly ol' groundhog says...we are NOT going to have six more weeks of winter. I just won't allow it . What does a groundhog know about the weather anyway? I mean if it sees its shadow it runs and hides. Don't you think seeing its shadow would mean that the sun was out warming everything and beginning springtime? I would think that if he didn't see his shadow it would be a bad thing...clouds/rain/snow/cold weather equals no spring. Sun equals spring. See, what does a groundhog know. As I said, it will be spring and I won't put up with anymore of this cold weather.
Did I mention that I had Spring Fever?
